If you would like to work for an extremely autocratic company with no flexibility and a management structure that rules through fear and bullying then this is the place for you. I have seen many instances where management have pushed people well beyond the edge of reasonable pressure for sustained periods. When the employee suffers the answer is to turn the thumb screw and break them. There are many bigots in senior management positions, there are good guys too but in the cut throat culture they are often overpowered. There is no room for flexible working and flexible holidays. Expect to be hauled over the coals for clocking on 2 mins late even if you've put 5 extra hours in that week. JCB do not promote diversity, this is a place where wearing brown shoes instead of black can be considered too risqué. Having worked outside the company it's clear they expect double the amount of work with half the people of other organisations. Expect to be chastised for talking to a colleague or even taking time out to eat your breakfast in the canteen.
