Vantaggi

The coworkers are friendly, collaborative, and easy to get along with, which makes the team environment positive. Unfortunately, this stands in stark contrast to management. The company is extremely disorganized, often resembling a chaotic circus. It is surprising—and at times even ironic—to see a well‑established and reputable organization in China being undermined and mismanaged so poorly in its U.S. operations due to poor management.

Svantaggi

This company operates in the United States, but its management practices are deeply flawed. Leadership is heavy-handed, often abusing authority and disregarding the very rules they impose on others. Managers routinely take credit for team accomplishments while shifting blame onto employees. Training is virtually nonexistent, leaving new hires uncertain of their responsibilities for weeks. The lack of onboarding, combined with poor internal organization and high turnover, creates significant confusion regarding job roles, team structures, leadership expectations, and overall company direction. Employee turnover is exceptionally high, with many resigning within two weeks to three months. Micromanagement is pervasive, despite the absence of proper training or support. Employees are frequently burdened with additional responsibilities without guidance. Workplace professionalism is lacking, as smoking and profanity occur openly during meetings led by upper management. Terminations are handled poorly, often with only a day’s notice and delivered through impersonal emails rather than direct communication. Compensation practices are misleading. For example, pay is sometimes presented as being based on a 13‑month cycle, resulting in lower-than-expected salaries once employees sign on. Collaboration is minimal, and meetings are frequently conducted in Chinese rather than English, making integration difficult for American employees. The company relies heavily on hiring international students on visas, offering low wages and subjecting them to excessive workloads due to challenges in attracting local talent. Discriminatory practices are evident: although the company is Chinese-owned, it often favors foreign (particularly white) employees with higher salaries and better treatment, under the belief that they bring stronger connections and greater revenue potential. Basic organizational clarity is lacking. To this day, the company has not finalized the official name of its U.S. entity, causing confusion among staff and clients alike. Additionally, employees are sometimes hired under the promise of remote work, only to later be required to switch to hybrid or fully in-person arrangements. Even when enforced, in-person work proves to be a waste of time, as there is little to no collaboration, and management is either absent or unwilling to provide support—making onsite presence largely pointless. In summary, the company suffers from poor leadership, inadequate training, disorganization, and questionable employment practices. Employment here should be avoided unless absolutely necessary, as accepting a role is best considered a last resort.
