Vantaggi
- Best team ever. Seriously. As far as I can tell, everyone genuinely wants each other to succeed. Teammates regularly ask each other if they can help out in any way - and they mean it. Rare culture. - Individual input on process improvements is valued by the leadership committee - Pay is solid, especially considering that advanced degrees (MS/MA/MBA) are not required to be successful at JVM - Lots of growth opportunity if you're talented and motivated - Management cares about the well-being of the team - the only "con" described below (work life balance) is a clear point of focus for both the founder and managers - Tons of small perks that add up - frequent paid lunches, dinner on JVM if working late, delicious snacks and treats, office games - the list goes on. - Work hard / play hard culture (no one is pressured to join, but there are frequently events that take place after work hours if people are interested)
Svantaggi
Work life balance can challenging at times. Not really JVM's fault - the industry is cyclical. During busy times, everyone goes above and beyond (putting in long hours). To be fair, the camaraderie and competitive pay help offset the work-life friction
