Extremely high and often unreasonable workload for the level of pay, with constant pressure to take on additional tasks from others. Lack of accountability, with colleagues openly passing on work they are capable of doing themselves. Management is inconsistent and lacks integrity, advice given in meetings is often contradicted in practice, leaving employees in no win situations. Concerns raised with management are acknowledged privately but not acted on, and support is not followed through. Expectation to work through lunch or outside of contracted hours to keep up with workload. Workplace culture is highly toxic, with discriminatory behaviour (including racist, homophobic, and ageist remarks) that is completely normalised. Customers are openly mocked after calls, including comments about accents and backgrounds, with no intervention from management. Employees from diverse backgrounds are also targeted, often becoming the subject of inappropriate jokes. Management and senior staff are aware of these behaviours but fail to take action, effectively condoning them. Clear favouritism towards long standing employees (10–15+ years), who receive priority for holidays, flexibility, workload, and leaving early. Even if you asked first. Basic employee wellbeing is overlooked, for example, no microwave in the office due to a director’s preference, leaving staff unable to heat meals and pushed toward an overpriced on-site café. HR presence is minimal and ineffective. employees are discouraged from contacting them, and there is no safe or reliable escalation route. Bullying and poor behaviour go unaddressed, contributing to an unsupportive and, at times, hostile work environment. Significant negative impact on employee wellbeing due to stress, lack of support, and ongoing workplace issues. Not really any room for growth opportunities. I was repeatedly shut down when asked, same for salary increases, was told that they happened in a certain month, so I asked in November and was told that the decision had already been made and It couldn't be changed and I had to wait a whole year, the salary "increase" was literally nothing.
