*When I use the term "management" it is inclusive of the senior leadership group, managers and HR department. Senior leaders and HR have a well-known track record of lying and manipulating their subordinates (but with a smile, of course). The only thing that matters to senior leaders is your "perception", and very little (if ANY) effort is put into actually understanding people or situations, but rather your whole career (or bonus) hinges on what your "perception" is. Perception is a fancy word for gossip, hearsay, and often times outright lies. Management uses the phrase "business need" to go back on their word and not be held accountable for decisions they make that really screw people over. "Oh, it was the business need - that's why we did that". There was one day I presented a request from management to a brand new team I had and EVERYONE said "oh I don't trust anything management says" and "they say that now but just wait until the business need changes then we are screwed". Management WILL harass you about time off. Used to have management that would fight for employees to have Christmas off. Not anymore. Get in the production line, peons. Management is threatened by people with ideas or conflicting opinions. They will try and squash you. Management employes the unethical tactics of targeting, harassment, discrimination and bullying to get their way. If they decide they don't like you, they will try and get rid of you. Once they make that decision (usually based on perception or personal preference/opinion) you are done for. They will make up something to fire you for. I've seen it happen MANY times to really good people. Their practices are incredibly unethical. You can't go to HR because it will increase the size of the target on your back. HR does not keep confidences and in the end it has always done more harm to the person reporting than help. Incredibly toxic atmosphere. No growth opportunities. Jet spends more time trying to convince their employees that it's a great place to work than it does actually trying to BE a great place to work. If you post on Glassdoor, management will call out these reviews in meetings with the clear attempt to make the author feel like a coward. In reality, people would come to management with concerns if their concerns were actually heard and it didn't mean the end of your career or that you'd be on the "blacklist". As a Supervisor there are many days that require longer hours. Many Supervisors often put in 12 hour days. Nobody cares. They only care if you need to put in a request to leave early or heaven forbid have a day off.

The culture was awesome, with one rule (Be Nice) I loved Jet. We kicked some major #$^^ so much so that Walmart bought us and killed us. We had fun, it was like working at an all night rave music and dancing while we worked. hard to describe, you had to be there.

the pay wasn't the best but the benefits more than made up for it. The insurance was fantastic, the fun we had at work was enough to make up for the lack of pay.
