There has been an exponential increase in the amount of negatively impacting changes recently. To put it simply, Jet is not the flex, flexible, and innovative workplace that will is the spiel that is pushed on us throughout training and recruiting.
The most impactful and negative change recently is the huge consequences for logging in literally one (1) minute late for your shift, resulting in in a "half occurrence" on your record. There is no human "life happens" actor ever given to the situation. it doesn't matter if there was an accident on the freeway, the roads were icy, your car was stolen, or you have trouble logging in due to persistent computer issues. Once someone gets 2.5 occurrences, they are immediately terminated, No questions, ifs ands or butts about it. It doesn't matter about how much you contribute to the company, your engagement, how good you are at your job, or how much knowledge and training you've gained.
Another very disturbing change we are seeing is around the increased micromanaging from several levels up that drop elevation of their view frequently. The Supervisors are given very little trust and empowerment, let alone with us as frontline employees. Every week, common sense and good judgment are being traded in for rigid vague places - which are also designed to change depending on the moods of the relentless "All Seeing Eye". It has gone quite the opposite direction from the company values of trust and empowerment we all bought into when we were hired and trained. I see the extreme levels of discouragement in our supervisors as they work through this level of dictatorship.
