Vantaggi

There is not a whole lot of good things about Johnson Controls. I have been there 20 years, so I guess it's fairly secure as long as you have seniority and work in a union shop.

Svantaggi

Long hours, 12 hour days not unusual. Benefits suck. No chance to move up. Employees are treated as if they are stupid. No chance to use your brain, they don't believe in "thinking" employees. Plants are heavily micro- managed from corporate in Milwaukee, WI.

Vantaggi

Decent pay, good PTO and benefits

Svantaggi

Everything else. ZERO training. They hand you a laptop (which is garbage) and say good luck. There is no "team." Everyone is on their own. The senior techs all reached their peak 20 years ago and don't even know what BACnet is. The bureaucracy is unbearable. Ordering a simple part is nearly impossible. There are so many apps you have to check in on everyday and they care more about those metrics than they care about the service their customers are receiving. If you want to get your butt kicked everyday with zero support at a company that specializes in taking advantage of their customers, this is the job for you.
