When I apply for a job as I did with this lot I expect a certain level of respect. We all know that mostly employers when they receive applications do not bother to send a rejection letter. This is rude but at least can be understood. I applied as a KP here and got a Zoom interview which seemed to go okay. As a result of that on Friday at short notice I was asked to come in on Monday for a two hours trial. Well I had an interview on that day elsewhere and I could not do that. If the company did not like the fact that I could not do this than do what other company's do - send me a fob off message and ignore me. That is how it works - fine. However I received another message from the HR Department asking if I could do Thursday, and on the strength of that I bought a plain black T shirt as that is their uniform. This morning I received the following message: Apologies for the short notice. We have decided to hire another candidate for this position; unfortunately, we must cancel tomorrow's trial. I am sorry for any disappointment. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Apart from the fact that despite spellcheck this person cannot spell "endeavour" that is a rude and shoddy way to treat someone. In short do not *use* me as a backup just in case the person you are trialling today fails to impress.
