You get taken advantage of a lot. I find it’s quite a favouritism environment - if the owner wants to give you the time of day she will, but if not she won’t treat you great. People work so hard and don’t really get the recognition. Pay was very unfair, and I felt underpaid. There felt like hints of sexism - loved the boys but didn’t really have time for the girls, who worked just as hard. They valued customers more than their staff.
