JumpStart Inc. is always recognized for the work they do with the Latino Community, but it is very little compared to everything else they do. Their budget is small and they have very few Latino employees. I am Latino and I was disregarded. When I applied for the position I mentioned I needed sponsorship. Every single person I talked to was informed of it, so I was confident everything was going to be okay, especially because they told me it was handled. But it wasn´t. Once I needed to renew my visa, they realized they never submitted the document needed to approve my transfer to the USCIS. They offered to send it now, but it was too late. I can´t explain much, but they put my immigration status at risk. I ended up unemployed, without health insurance, and at risk of being deported.
