Vantaggi
- Colleagues are great, I've had great experiences with all the people I have worked with. Other developers are friendly and happy to help - Team managers are great, understanding and supportive - No expectation to take work home or do extra hours unpaid - No unreasonable pressure - Tech stack and product is quite broad and offers some good learning opportunities for a Developer - Other developers are experienced and willing to share their knowledge
Svantaggi
- Salary is below standard, no raises for 2 years and most colleagues informed me that they hadn't received a raise in up to 5 years at the company. - Top-level management are constantly playing musical chairs, we frequently receive emails that X senior manager is leaving and is being replaced with Y. Direction has been very inconsistent. - K3 suffered greatly during COVID, many redundancies created a feeling of job insecurity - worsened by a recent restructure with vague details on overall job losses. - Teams are very isolated and siloed, with developers and functions split into different teams with very little knowledge or skill-sharing. K3 has been trying to solve this but there is still much to be done. - Due to the siloed nature it can often feel like there is a divide between the teams. Rather than working towards a common goal managers tend to look out for their own teams and responsibilities. - Several high-level developers have left recently, a severe 'Brain Drain' has been ongoing for the best part of a year. Developers from different teams are being pulled in to patch-up the core teams, but without any of the development or design knowledge from the developers who initially created the projects.
