Vantaggi
A few decent co-workers who try to support each other despite the environment. The 4-on 4-off structure could be beneficial if managed properly — but in reality, it often isn’t.
Svantaggi
The shifts are extremely demanding — 12 hours long, constantly alternating between days and nights with little notice. This relentless pattern destroys work-life balance and takes a serious toll on mental and physical health. Burnout is common, and when it happens, there’s no genuine support or understanding from management. Policies are applied inconsistently and often feel selective. The employee handbook outlines a clear disciplinary process, but in practice, steps are skipped or ignored entirely. Some people are given leniency, while others are punished harshly for similar or lesser issues. This inconsistency creates a culture of fear and resentment rather than fairness or accountability. Communication from management and HR is poor. Decisions about employment status can be made abruptly, sometimes communicated through impersonal messages instead of proper meetings. Employees are often left in the dark and denied the opportunity to properly respond or explain their side. The overall workplace culture is unprofessional and heavily influenced by favouritism. Standards of behaviour vary depending on who you are, and employees who don’t “fit in” with the dominant culture often find themselves treated unfairly. Concerns about ethics, wellbeing, or consistency are usually brushed aside. Working here was one of the most stressful and demoralizing experiences of my career. The long hours, constant schedule changes, lack of transparency, and selective enforcement of rules create a toxic environment where employees feel disposable. Unless major changes are made to management practices and culture, this will continue to be an unhealthy place to work.
