Vantaggi
There are lots of chances to meet new people and to be promoted because no one stays at KGK for long so there are always job vacancies. It is a nice building for those that like the corporate feel. Coffee and tea is provided by KGK.
Svantaggi
Chaotic and fear-based management leads to the requirement of long, unpredictable work days. Even if you are very efficient and hard-working, progress is hard to make because of poor leadership, poor workflow management and too much time devoted to putting out fires that could have been avoided with effective planning. Management dismisses all of this and just claims that it's "just a busy few months" or that it's "the nature of the work". Management also stresses that work-life balance is important, but never enforces this or attempts to manage the workload such that you could actually achieve work-life balance. Work weeks are 35 hours and extra time is not paid or banked as flex time until 44+ hours; therefore many people regularly 9 hours for free. Essentially you have to work more than a whole day extra, before you can be paid for more extra time. They will tell you "it all evens out" but really, it is an unwritten rule that the extra 9 hours are just expected of you or else you are not considered a dedicated employee. Not to mention that the pay is insulting even for a 35 hour work week, let alone that same pay for a 42 hour work week. Management takes all the right steps and says all the right things to make it look like they care and intend to make improvements, but changes are never made. They have run this company the same way for years and really have no intent to change. Speak with previous employees and see for yourself. Also, don't believe the positive reviews on here, they are all written by management to try and combat their bad name. The amount of life you miss out on while working at KGK is not worth the meager pay or poor experience. This is why so many people quit after a few months. The skills you learn aren't even transferable because they really only apply to a dysfunctional environment or sub-par science. Just stay away, far away, no matter how appealing the downtown location is, how earnest the interview panel seems or how good the job opportunity looks. There are red flags everywhere.
