Almost everyone in tech who added value has quit or been let go Tech leadership hires from the outside instead of promoting from within Politics and favoritism rule the day, and sadly also drives promotions Tech leadership has no backbone and says yes to every business request, while also refusing to hire resources….this leads to the KKRism “do more with less”. Leadership also routinely throws their team under the bus to CYA. New leaders bring in their own folks, while screwing over existing folks who actually keep the business running. Safe to say, anyone who has been there 5 years or more, you have or will be exiled to a dead end project. Unless you play politics or align with the new leadership, your career is over.
