Flat organization, initiative and innovation is valued regardless of where it comes from. Experiments are welcomed and in case of failure, the process is evaluated - the employee is not blamed. Colleagues I've come across in all departments have been exceptionally team spirited and helpful. Compensation and benefits are good for the industry. Last but not least, the customer is centric in Everything, which is essential for thriving in the long term.

The industry is difficult seeing the global context, low margins and other pressing challenges like sustainability. That's not specific to KLM of course, but what is: on management functions, the male-female balance is not on par with many other companies. It is high on the agendas to improve that, but there's still a long way to go.
