I have been working at KLNB since 2009 when my last Brokerage company went out of business after the Great Recession. This is my 15th year at KLNB, and there is no Real Estate Company I would rather be. What separates KLNB from almost any Commercial Real Estate Firm in the DC METRO area is the people & culture. Brokers work on 100% commission based salaries at KLNB (as is typical in our industry), but generally new agents are provided a salary / draw in their early years to get started. While working on 100% commission based income can be very rewarding, it can also be a big challenge to manage cash flow, especially in market downturns. However, that is not a KLNB issue, its more of a industry as a whole issue, as the commercial real estate business can be very cyclical, and it takes the right motived agents to be able to deal with the ups and downs.
