My co-workers are the best part of coming in everyday. I have never met such good people with high ethics. They are very supportive both professionally and personally. They embody the true culture at KPMG. Decent comp and benefits. PTO is good, too. 401k match is only 2.5% but they also offer a pension. Montvale campus is in a nice area.

Procurement's leadership prohibits any form of diversity or dissent. Whoever disagrees or even thinks differently than leadership is publicly disrespected, humiliated and admonished. It’s worse for women over 40, the primary targets. No one is allowed to work from home and you will see leadership walk up and down the aisles 3x/day to see who’s at their desk working. Yet, leadership can work remotely whenever they want-- even 2 wks/mo. First line managers don’t have a say in who gets hired, promoted, salary increases, etc. It is not a democracy here. Leadership's transformation has only created massive confusion and frustration for both the internal customers and the procurement staff. Almost everything that has been claimed to be accomplished is just smoke and mirrors but the senior executives seem to believe it. Some of the staff in the department actually wish that Internal Audit would take a good look into the claims of success as they are subjective and unfounded. Leadership says and does things that are highly inappropriate, but the staff is terrified of their leadership and afraid of losing their jobs. There is no one for the staff to turn to as most of management seems disconnected and the staff’s complaints to HR have done nothing but make them feel worse. Last year about 20% of the department was "laid off" --mostly women over 40! On the very same day they were being let go, contractors were being onboarded and assigned to their seats. Whenever someone displeases leadership or dissents, it seems like HR just gets out the paperwork and executes without question. These are just some of the things I can write about. For many of us here, we have lost hope that it’s going to get better, Even hand-picked new hires are leaving. My advice is to avoid Procurement until current leadership changes.
