It is a great environment and culture. Most everyone is friendly and caring. Lots of opportunities for trainings and the orientation itself is very substantial. In the beginning, I felt I could ask questions and get support. The work is fulfilling and everyone here cares about clients. The flexibility is also quite nice. The company gives you opportunities to express opinions. They also have DEI - B councils which is always great to see in a large company, even if the majority of workers are Caucasian females. The benefits are good.

I would say my only con that does not make this a 5/5 stars, is particular management within this company. I did not see this experience until about 2 years into working here. There are favorites for certain supervisors, unhelpful/unproductive criticisms, and overall passive aggressive communication from these individuals. This is all while they also expect more but do not meet their own requirements. These interactions negatively affect work and moral for multiple individuals. My own supervisor is amazing fortunately.

Pay is significantly below for-profit market rates. nonprofit pay scale is a real tradeoff Director role is highly unstructured can feel chaotic, especially in 24/7 locations requiring after-hours work Toxic employees can linger too long the kindness and grace extended to everyone delays removal Some employees stay in roles that aren't a good long-term fit simply because they love the culture Heavy meeting load at director level can crowd out focused, strategic work
