It used to be a really great company, currently I'm considering leaving after having worked here many years. Some things remain great, but too many are bad. HR processes are a mess that lead to frustration each time (promotions, end year reviews). Nothing changes, if only then for worse. They are unpredictable, unclear & unfair. Salaries are all over the place with people having big differences - I wonder what will happen when Pay Transparency law comes into play... There is no training budget other than mandatory Workday training, I have not done any training in years. Few years back it used to be different. AI first is mostly on paper, in my part of organisation there is no free time to be inventive and IT is blocking everything. Work overload is massive - it's always been busy but recently it's really become the worst I remember. No time for doing things properly, heavily overworked and at the same time company not doing much to retain most senior employees. I'm running multiple projects and have to cut corners a lot and suffer burnout. Project managers are overworked and the best ones leave or struggle. Some are absolutely great, some are so-so. Profit focus is first. Used to be much more employee oriented company, now it's just utilisation and profit. No more travel to meet employees from other locations, no more team entertainment budget, no more project end celebrations, no more annual kick off event. Utilisation, utilisation, utilisation. And the effects of this push are mediocre anyway, for some reason. Maybe the market is bad, but other companies are faring better I feel. Micromanagement is a beast. Even quite senior managers have nothing to decide upon, everything is decided by 1-2 people at the top of the organisation from promotions, raises, ratings down to spending petty cash on needed software. If you're a junior the growth opportunities are not too bad. For me it seems ceiling has been reached. There is no structured career and growth planning. Lastly - the senior management of my organisation has some people I think should not be in such role for they are for they treat people badly, are unresponsive and generally don't care about people.
