Vantaggi

Flexible work schedule but, that depends on who your boss is. Co-workers are ok but talk about each other behind their backs! More of a con but Glassdoor wants more pros added!

Svantaggi

No overtime pay. Can only do flex time. Required to take off holidays such as Christmas. This isn’t always bad but if you’re wanting to save time for say a family vacation that could interfere with the time you’ve saved. Not bad either that you don’t have to request this time off and compete with co-workers like you have to do in the corporate world! Not a place if you’re looking to advance or learn alternative skills.

Vantaggi

- fantastic leave! PTO, Sick, Holiday, maternity - amazing people and students. Ranked high for friendliest students for a reason - tuition assistance for one place semester if you're continuing education - once your foot is in the door, potential to use internal connection to move up within the university

Svantaggi

- pay could be more competitive but makes up for it somewhat in leave - top heavy administration, former leadership made uprooting changes and didn't see the change through; left university scrambling - resistance to change causes siloes. - structural fiscal issues that doesn't work well for interdisciplinary, collaborative work - great coworkers move up the university or leave and don't stay long
