Vantaggi
- The product genuinely makes a difference. Many people joined because they believed in its positive impact on cats’ health, and there are plenty of real customer stories that make the mission feel meaningful. - There are some very talented, thoughtful people across the business. Working with people who care deeply about the product and customers can be genuinely inspiring. - The office location is great, especially for anyone who enjoys being in the centre of Tech and Creative in London. - Benefits are decent, including private healthcare.
Svantaggi
- The company has lost much of the energy and openness that made it feel exciting in the first place. Over time, decision-making has become highly centralised, with limited trust or autonomy given to teams. - There is a strong expectation that people will deliver quickly and to a very high standard, but the environment often does not give people the space, clarity or stability needed to do that well. - Too much time is spent in meetings that seem designed to create alignment, but often end without clear decisions or meaningful progress. This leaves less time for focused, thoughtful execution. - Challenging decisions can be difficult. Healthy disagreement is not always welcomed, and people can feel pressured to support decisions they do not believe are right. - Career development feels limited. There are layers of management, but not always clear progression, coaching or investment in people’s growth. - The biggest concern of mine is that the company seems to have become more focused on short-term commercial outcomes than on evolving the product, improving the customer experience, or making the offering more accessible. For a company with such a strong original mission, that is sad to see.
