I would like to highlight the professional services of Trish Alatorre-Ridings at Kelly Law Registry, an absolute genius, and a true powerhouse of strategy. After I resigned from my position as in-house counsel at a private equity firm for personal reasons and had been inactive in the job market for a couple of years, Trish found me a temporary position at a company, doing similar work to what I had done before. That did not work out for technical reasons, and Trish diligently worked with me to find another suitable position. She evaluated my skills and experience, identified certain of my strengths and successfully pitched these to the head of the legal department for a temporary paralegal position at a company whose business was entirely different from private equity. She was also able to negotiate a rate that was very favorable, given my relative lack of experience in that particular field of law. She was able to quickly comprehend the facts every time I spoke with her and help me navigate through political, cultural and personality intricacies I encountered as I walked the path from temp to perm. She was an excellent, hands-on mentor, always brilliantly articulating all the thoughts and concerns floating in my head while also insightfully flagging important issues for my consideration.
