The leadership team is transparent, approachable, and seems to truly value employee input — not just in theory, but in the way decisions are made. The problems we work on are complex and interesting, especially if you enjoy distributed systems, networking, and large-scale data. It’s the kind of place where you can stretch yourself technically and still feel supported. Work-life balance has been solid for me, and people here understand that you can be ambitious without burning out. Overall, Kentik feels like a company that’s growing in the right ways and still has that sense of purpose and camaraderie you don’t always find as companies scale.

Cons: Because the company is growing quickly, priorities can shift faster than some people might like. You have to be comfortable with change. Some processes are still evolving, which is normal for a company at this stage, but it can feel a little unstructured at times. Cross-team communication is generally good, but with distributed teams, things occasionally slip through the cracks.
