Vantaggi

When I first joined, Kigen had a good hybrid work model with flexible hours. Many of the leaders were technically strong and knowledgeable. Initially, management seemed supportive and approachable.

Svantaggi

The reality is very different. Flexibility exists only for management — employees are expected to log in late at night for calls but also come to the office and leave at fixed times. There’s no genuine work-life balance, and rules change depending on who you are or who you report to. The company is an extremely poor place for women. There’s no support for women during pregnancy or personal situations, empathy and understanding are completely missing. The environment is male-dominated, and some male managers gossip about female employees or behave in ways that make women uncomfortable. Falling sick even for a single day leads to unnecessary questioning and demands for proof. Despite achieving company goals, many employees didn’t receive appraisals. There is no proper HR team in India,if you have any problems, you’re expected to handle them alone. The culture here is full of favoritism, control, and outdated thinking. It feels like a very different (and worse) experience compared to employees working outside India.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We take every piece of feedback seriously, especially when it highlights areas where we can do better. It’s disappointing to hear that anyone has felt unsupported or treated unfairly. Building a fair, inclusive and flexible culture across all our teams remains a core priority. Over the past year, we have expanded wellbeing programs and worked to make flexibility and respect something everyone experiences, not just a few. We know there’s always more to do. If the person who shared this would like to talk directly, we’d welcome the chance to listen and learn. We have also just run an employee survey, which doesn't seem to reflect your experience to the broader team, however feel free to reach out to anyone in the executive team or of your local leadership to help improve your situation Kigen’s success depends on people feeling valued and respected, and that’s the culture we’re determined to keep building every day.
