Be a self-motivator willing to create roles and work for yourself when sales leads are sparse.

My departure from the company was less than ideal. I found out on a bit of short notice. No hard feelings, truly. Management was excellent in letting me keep one small role in a part-time capacity to supplement my income while I worked another job.
