      Vantaggi

      Work / life balance is a real thing at Kitu. Don't get me wrong, there are some long days at crunch times, but overall, I feel that it's balanced. Perhaps even more importantly, I feel appreciated for my contributions! The people here seem to genuinely get along and care about the work they are doing.

      I guess this could be considered a con but I think of it as more of an opportunity... I don't think that the company has a well defined culture yet. I'm glad that it's not a typical work hard-play hard (i.e. work hard - work hard) culture, but I think it would be nice if the culture was a little more defined.

      The team that I worked with was nice, and I didn't have any issues with any of the people there.

      The direction and the prospects for the company was never very exciting. Kitu was a small company with little revenue, and the management never provided a vision for the company to successfully grow revenue and profitability. The development work was pretty standard web apps development, and there never was anything innovative about the products would indicate any strategic differentiation or competitive advantage. I felt underpaid for the work I was doing, and there were not any career growth prospects. Ultimately, I decided the pros were significantly outweighed by the cons and move on from the company.
