I’m not a disgruntled former employee. I was an employee in the good days the Crown Zellerbach James River days I invested well so am comfortable. Although not near as the Koch Brothers lol. So being unhappy is not the reason for my negative post. I cared about this mill. In our small community the mill is important to us. I don’t like to see bullies like the Koch’s treating people like they do. But they sure preach the guiding principles too bad they didn’t follow them. I had to retire after 30plus years due to 3 failed back surgeries. I didn’t get a call card or a boo boo from management. My job created my bad back but due to being treated like a criminal when injured on the job I didn’t claim it as a work injury. Koch’s cut our pay,retirement,jobs and more. Do people worth over 50 billion each really need to take from us workers? Our mill always made money so why treat us like this? Well it shows now cause they are shutting down machine because they don’t have enough workers. It used to be a lifetime job hard to get a job there. Now nobody want to work there. They have stooped to hiring temp workers.its hard to get anyone to stay past the 90 day break in period. What a shame.

Good insurance. The Atlanta office was more flexible with remote/hybrid work

The politics. People devalue teammates. Constantly changing direction so no meaningful impact can be made. Not a lot of diversity. If you don’t ask how someone’s kids are, you get complaints that you’re cold and difficult. Got there and a reorg killed the reason I was hired and was never provided with any sort of hope of growth opportunities.
