The engineering org is falling apart for multiple reasons. Management is out of touch, ignorant, and has little respect for employees. Many engineers have left the company recently for this reason, and because we get paid below industry standard. Because of this, those who remain are being overworked in order to compensate, leading to severe stress and burn-out. Engineers are struggling to fulfill ridiculous demands for new products and features, while also trying to keep our existing products from falling apart. Despite this, management tries to gaslight everyone into thinking the org is somehow more productive than ever. Management refuses to acknowledge major, underlying problems, choosing to single people out as scapegoats to pin the blame on. Oncall is bad compared to other places; you will be paged during your rotation, probably multiple times a week, and sometimes in the middle of the night. Also, do not expect to get a raise outside of promotion.
