Vantaggi
The only thing I can think of is working for a big name recruiting firm. It sounds “impressive” on your resume.
Svantaggi
The environment at the office is great - people are wonderful but the company as a whole is awful. You are expected to be on call 24/7 even though they say you are not - they make you sign a form stating you will report all overtime but then tell you that you can’t work overtime but there’s no possible way to get everything done in 8 hours a day. NO raises ever and bonuses are low - this job is not considered an important role to upper management and they have no idea everything that you manage in this role on a daily basis. You are considered a low level administrative assistant so that they can pay you less and not give raises. I have dealt with inappropriate advances from people in the office and know that if you go to HR or try to stop it you are almost guaranteed to be fired or told you are reading into it so you just have to deal with it. When you work for a busy partner, they work you to the point of exhaustion and will contact you at all hours of the day and night. There is absolutely no work life balance - even when on PTO or vacation you are contacted. They laid off and or furloughed so many amazing employees to save money and the people that are left are doing the work of two or three employees, took a pay cut, and are supposed to get it done all in eight hours a day. Do not work at this company, upper management talks a good game but never follows through and does not care how hard it’s people work - you are just a number to them. They will tell you that you get a performance bonus and even then it’s absolutely pathetic especially because they never give raises. I have never worked for a company that does not give raises yearly - I received perfect scores and remarks on all performance reviews yet never received a raise or an increase in my bonus. On top of pay issues, they will continue to add more to your job and change systems and processes constantly. It always seems like more and more was added to our plates and it was impossible to keep up let alone even keep your head above water. They will hire people with no experience in higher roles and not provide training so then you are left to pick up the slack. There is no system in place and if those in higher positions are taken under a Partners wing, they are basically able to do whatever they want all while being paid more and working less - it is not a team oriented environment. The Project Coordinator is the one working the latest, the longest hours and is paid the least. Do not work here - they will over promise and under deliver which is not what they expect their employees to do for clients but they do it to their own employees.
