Vantaggi

The environment is fun and entertaining. Staff employees typically go to happy hours during the week and develop relationships outside of work. Aside from the employee relations, the work itself it not too challenging and I believe you get paid well for what you do - it is by no means I-Banking. The company allows for you to determine how to balance your work life and you get rewarded depending on where you put the fulcrum on the scale (i.e. some employees come in around 10 and leave at 6 others put in 10 - 12 days every day and get the promotions).

Svantaggi

The company has instilled no loyalty among the staff level. Management constantly tell staff "this is a great place to start" hinting that they (staff employees) will be changing companies or careers in the short run. With comes no real career track. The work itself is not too challenging which allows from some of the employees to coast within the company not putting in too many hours. There are no opportunities to really go into the market and try the challenges of selling work or developing business relationships. Overall, the company does not foster a place you would be loyal to and would challenge you each day.

Vantaggi

It can give interns their first glimpse into Fortune 500 client work. One of the few opportunities that directly seeks after political science students.

Svantaggi

I had a terrible experience with most managers. They had a tendency to openly question the intelligence and professional capabilities of interns; mind you, undergraduate and graduate students, which is the worst thing for someone in that stage to hear. When I pushed back on a manager who questioned my intellectual ability to do analytical work, I was labeled as combative and almost fired. As a result of my vocality, certain managers pretended like I didn't exist to them, something I still find traumatic in hindsight this day. I know other interns and externs were also openly told they didn't have the intellectual ability to perform their work at a high level.
