Vantaggi

Nice 9/80 schedule Most managers are good Lots of neat technology Neat opportunities exist if you pursue and push them

Svantaggi

Lots of grey-ethical decisions HR is poor at their job Hires anyone to fill positions and then doesn't remove people from positions; resulting in people leaving Overworks employees. Too competitive of an environment, making it very difficult for women trying to balance life and work to succeed. Not uncommon for employees to work long hours and high tense culture

Thank you for your review. We are really glad to hear that you enjoyed your work and the technology offered by L3Harris. It sounds like you, along with many others, enjoyed the flexibility of our 9/80 schedule and discretionary PTO. We also want to make sure we address your concerns around ethical decision-making. We take all reports of unethical behavior very seriously, and we offer employees a way to voice their concerns confidentially and/or anonymously. If you would like to further discuss any ethical concerns you had as an employee, please reach out to the Ethics & Compliance Helpline (www.L3HarrisHelpline.com or 877-532-6339).

Vantaggi

Missions are impactful to the world Top talent in specialized fields Wonderful people Respectful environment

Svantaggi

Processes and policies are not robust enough to support the large growth / merger, which leaves everyone operating in silos and interpreting things in their own ways Shared service model is not structured properly Not enough critical thinking around how budgets should be allocated for tools, capital, and salaries Higher level leaders are too in the weeds and not working on the harder strategic aspects Businesses are not aligned with common products to gain best synergies as all businesses fight to defend $s not what actually makes sense for the company (radios sharing same suppliers are in completely different segments; CCAs are built across 10+ different factories managed by different management teams instead of a couple of large COEs) All leaders felt unempowered due to lack of ownership of budgets. Budgets were set but then adjusted at further levels without any additional discussion of new targets and how to achieve. Then budgets would be reallocated a few months into year if you weren't demonstrating that you truly need it. This drove teams to spend heavy up front and not make the smartest decisions at times
