It exemplifies the concept that the strength of the whole is better than the individual alone, and that passion for teamwork is especially evident during busy periods where everyone pitches in. Clay White, the principal planner, is a supportive leader that genuinely cares about the people he leads, personally and professionally. There is a lot of room for professional growth in areas where planning and development overlap and there is tremendous support from upper management for seeking out new opportunities and growing the business. There is also strong support for professional involvement and taking an active role in the industry. The company has an eye on the future and is not just planning for today, but thinking about the LDC of the future. I truly believe the future is very bright for LDC.

As with any growing company, there are growing pains and lessons learned. LDC has grown from just a few employees to a mid-sized company in a short time, and the company is working hard to build its infrastructure to support that growth. There is some ambiguity on roles and responsibilities, but leadership looks for people who will step up and take charge on improving those areas and are supportive of thoughts and ideas from employees on how to make things better or more efficient.
