The total package may seem like a great offer however, most if not all expenses necessary to be successful, such as local business networking meetings and memberships, come out of your pocket for field marketing. Owners don't care much about the gross profit that reps are paid on because they profit from financing and markups on the backend and will therefore be ok with reps taking a loss on a deal just to close it for the company with minimal payout. How much commission you can make determines on who you know to remove misc expenses. Everyone wears multiple hats which causes confusion as there is no standardized way to do anything.
