Vantaggi
Fast-paced environment that ensures you are constantly under pressure. Strong emphasis on targets, which keeps expectations consistently high regardless of market conditions. Management provides frequent “opportunities” for performance discussions. Employees quickly learn to be highly independent due to limited support. Clear demonstration of how performance management systems can be actively enforced.
Svantaggi
Performance management practices can feel inconsistent and, at times, unfair. Warning letters may be issued for relatively minor administrative matters (e.g. delayed leave application), creating a culture of fear rather than accountability. Lack of recognition for extra effort - employees who go beyond working hours to support projects may not receive corresponding appreciation KPIs may be subject to changes or interpretation, leading to disputes on whether targets were actually met. PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) usage appears overly aggressive; employees may be placed on PIP early in the year based on short-term results rather than overall performance trends. Sales targets and evaluation timelines may not always reflect realistic market conditions or project cycles. No structured onboarding or on-the-job training was provided upon joining, and there was a lack of proper guidance on the tools required for the role. There seems to be an overestimation of the company’s market position, while sales challenges are frequently attributed to individuals rather than broader factors such as brand competitiveness and market perception. A more balanced and realistic assessment would be beneficial.
