Most key management roles are staffed by expats from LG HQ. They lack basic understanding of UK business culture and social practice. SLTs (Senior Leadership Team), comprised mostly of Korean expats, tend to treat their local staff with a varying degree of contempt and distrust. It is sometimes so blatant, and they often make sure to communicate this message via ‘all staff’ emails. To make up their lack of basic communication skills, SLTs openly complain to their local compatriots on how lazy and inefficient their British colleagues are (=totally unacceptable behaviour). LG's internal business systems are at least 5 to 10 years behind by industry standard. Your vague expectation of working for cutting edge global consumer electronics company will be completely wiped out by lunchtime on your first day. Not surprisingly, there is an extremely high staff turnover rate. Long-time employees tend to be the ones who are content with excellent private health insurance and generous pension arrangements. (However, their staff discount on LG products is not so generous.) For local Korean applicants based in UK: If you would like to experience 80's Kkongdae + Military style management method, this could be the ideal place to find it.

LG used to be my dream job. 5 years ago, Every good part of LG ended. They preach all day about wellness, work life balance, and investing in their employees. And they used to do just that but not any more. Their 100% paid insurance is literally the only perk and its a trap.

They take motivated and competent individuals and shackle them with the workload of 5 or 6 people while telling them they aren't good enough, not doing enough, even though they are somehow finding a way to juggle all of the immense workload. PTO is a joke and no one respects it, they will call and ask you to work on your PTO, on weekends and at 10pm. They have no shame. The compensation is entirely below the bar even with 100% paid insurance. Promotions & Raises? Those only go to Koreans. Its gone so far down hill in the last 5 years. The culture in that office is so toxic but the job market is so restricted that you can't leave.
