Even though the agency is still in existence, we have lost one more funder since the massive layoff in December 2017. Although the programs are still here, they are not operating in full capacity. The majority of staff is new because most of the seasoned, experienced and qualified staff voluntarily left even after the layoff. We have had a hard time hiring and recruiting. The staff that remains has been severely overworked and cannot continue at this rate. There is no stability at the company and much distrust of the CEO. Office policies have loosened in an attempt to appease staff. However, we are not dumb and job security is more important than the ability to wear jeans on Fridays. It may be a slow demise, but at some point the funders will see through the smoke screen and realize we cannot meet deliverables or effectively serve the clients in a meaningful way.
