Vantaggi
When I first joined LLYC, I felt like a fresh tea bag full of flavor—eager, bursting with ideas, and ready to infuse my enthusiasm and skills into the projects I was handed. The beginning was invigorating, much like the initial steeping process, where my contributions felt valued and impactful, making a tangible difference.
Svantaggi
However, as time went on, I began to notice a shift in how my efforts were recognized and utilized. The constant pressure to perform without adequate support or recognition started to mirror the act of squeezing a tea bag dry. Each project felt like another squeeze, extracting as much as possible from me without replenishing my resources or acknowledging my growing exhaustion.
Ultimately, despite my initial excitement and dedication, I reached a point where, like a used tea bag, I felt drained of all my flavor and discarded once deemed no longer useful. This realization came with a heavy heart, as I had invested so much of myself into my role, only to find that the sustainability of my contributions—my well-being and professional growth—was not a priority for the company.
This experience has taught me the importance of finding an employer who values not just the immediate output of their employees but also their long-term well-being and professional development. A company that understands the importance of not just "steeping" their employees for all they're worth but nurturing them to ensure they can continue to contribute effectively without burning out.
