Vantaggi

Decent amenities. Employee gym and cafeteria. May be a good company if you are a seasoned trader. Company is at the forefront of a lot of things in the industry.

Svantaggi

When I was there it was a lot of top heavy management. They keep thinking the answer to everything is more management, throw more management at the problem! Heck, throw more people at the problem/issue. No, it's not. A lot of duplicative efforts and overlapping responsibilities going on all over the place and no one seems to know about it till you stumble upon it accidently. They also have a knack to convolute everything as much as possible, making things twice as complicated as they need to be. Trying to make rocket science out of things they don't need to make rocket science out of. That's the culture there. Co-workers were nice but overall a lot of unhappy miserable people there.

Vantaggi

LPL Financial offers a flexible hybrid work model, which is one of the better aspects of the company. Managers are generally not overly strict about specific in-office days, giving employees some flexibility in managing their schedules.

Svantaggi

Work-life balance is a major challenge. Weekend release work is common, often averaging two weekends per month, yet there is no overtime compensation. Employees are essentially expected to work a full workweek plus weekends when needed, which has contributed to high turnover on some teams. The culture can also feel harsh and impersonal. Leadership rarely expresses appreciation or recognition for employee contributions, which negatively impacts morale. Some managers come across as cold or overly task-focused, creating an environment where employees feel valued only for output rather than as people. There also appears to be a lack of trust between employees and leadership. Many teammates do not seem confident that leadership understands or genuinely addresses their concerns. Overall, morale feels low, and recognition for strong performance appears limited.
