Vantaggi
- There were smart and cool employees, but everyone I know that is that way has either left, or is trying to get out ASAP. - Engineering seems to have a better culture than other departments - but timelines are not managed efficiently. They are very overworked.
Svantaggi
I wish I had known all of this before accepting my job offer. If I knew then what I know now, I would have never worked at Latch. I hope I prevent some of you from making the same mistake I did. - Arbitrary decision making. I honestly don’t understand how this company has lasted as long as it has by the way it is run. Leadership doesn’t “believe in data and research”. How do you lead a tech company without data? It’s only a matter of time before this company fails. Arbitrary decision making can only get you so far. - Volatile & emotional run leadership which makes for a very toxic environment. They fire people left and right for illegitimate reasons, usually when the CEO happens to be in a bad mood. Everyone is constantly stressed of getting fired for no real reason. - Overall, inexperienced leaders who don’t want to admit they are inexperienced. They make poor decisions and don’t listen to employees who actually have experience. This is especially true in product management, which is a shame because it effects most of the company. - Due to inexperience, teams are overworked and don’t get to perform to quality standards that they could. This company has potential, but it’s ruined by bad leadership.
