Vantaggi
3 years ago I would have highly recommended working at LeadSimple. We were all about solving problems that genuinely helped property managers, have fun doing it and make good money as a byproduct. The product has a lot of potential. And there are a lot of great people who work at LeadSimple still. Unfortunately, leadership took a turn for the worse in the last 2 years.
Svantaggi
I was one of the longest standing members of the company, so I witnessed it transform over time. We had a clear purpose for a long time--to help property managers win. Unfortunately, through extremely poor leadership decisions, that purpose morphed into "make as much money as we can". Employees began being treated like numbers; literally. Before I departed HR was working on a plan to assign a number to each employee that would determine their performance-even for roles that are extremely hard to measure by number (much less one)! The leadership team is driving at an unrealistic revenue target and have been willing to terminate some of their best employees to hit it. They're willing to do whatever it takes to achieve this goal, even if it means laying off some of their best team members and their core product team (despite the fact the product team was already short staffed and the customer experience was suffering as a result). They've been progressively making more and more decisions that are not serving the needs of the customer or their team. As an early team member, I'm sad to write this, but I can't recommend working at LeadSimple anymore. To be clear, there are still a number of great people there and I wish them the best. But unless leadership takes a significant turn and gets back to the values that made the company successful in the first place, I don't see the company surviving.
