Vantaggi
I'll be quite frank in saying LL is only good as a first time job, its small business structures mean plenty of opportunities for growth and progression. Apart from all this, like I said - its good for growth as a person. I absolutely rinse LL when talking in interviews, etc - it has yet to fail.
Svantaggi
However, its small business structure means unfair management, just downright unproffessional practices, poor pay. It offered me a lot of skills, but also absolutely used me, amongst other tutors. They make you for for 6 pounds an hour like an absolute dog, and 9 if you're an important member. The company is also horrible at getting back to people on their pay, and is consistently controlled by a group of 3 hyper petty women who if you somehow hurt their feelings, will end up firing you, making your job harder or just not responding to any left over pay. Please be very careful and diligent about your pay with this lot. The company is very likely to not pay on time, or underpay. This is not only my experience but the experience of every tutor I worked with - they make it seem as if they're bestowing you a gift when you get more responsiblities for the same pay. They also seem to be homophobic so just...be aware of that and most managers try to meddle in teenage business which is just weird. From giving unsolicited advice, trying to set up people and so forth. LL is the typical "we're a family" business that you should avoid. Making comments on the looks of tutors and so forth, with blatant favouritism which honestly looks more like a curse. Tutors who are favoured get more work and hardly any praise, and theres a weird competitive vibe. The higher up you go, the more two-faced behaviour you see, which is crazy because it pays maybe £ 9. It goes to say, theres a reason why the people at the top are there - they sell out others for some change x Hopefully my grammar was alright (?), its been a long time since I was at learning labs - about 2 years so maybe some things have changed (I doubt it) (they haven't, I talked to company tutors and they still are miserable). LOL
