Vantaggi

Fantastic benefits! Health insurance is free on some plans and low cost on other’s. You can get health insurance for your entire family for $0 out of pocket. Dental and vision are free or low cost as well. Unlimited sick time and 20 days of PTO per year plus paid holidays.

Svantaggi

Workload is extremely high. For a company that brags about growing so fast, they didn’t think to hire more advocates and they still won’t. The claims system is a joke. It’s a home made system that constantly has issues/crashes and is missing key features that other companies have. IT’s favorite excuse is that they are working on it or they don’t see the problem. The phone system is literally a call center and you will get plenty of calls on claims that are not your’s. Calls that you need to get won’t come through. The email system doesn’t work either. It’s an IT ticket based system and was never meant to be used as a true email system. Emails get lost or are delayed getting to you. The fact that they have not gotten into trouble yet with the DOI over this is shocking.

Vantaggi

Great company/culture, great people, great exam support. Surrounded by the cream of the crop in the insurance and insurtech world. interesting and dynamic work. A nice bonus is you will learn how to code here, it's non negotiable.

Svantaggi

No formal rotational programs. Work can get get overwhelming during exam season (maybe not a unique thing to this company). No bonuses, just equity.

Vantaggi

When I started there it was amazing. Lots of flexibility, good pay, great benefits, and fantastic people to collaborate with. It was a real startup culture.

Svantaggi

Once they started hiring old hats from entrenched and archaic insurance companies to be senior leaders the tone changed. Almost overnight it became just like the institutional insurance companies where you can be stabbed in the back at any moment and you’re only valued if senior leaders can see your work product. If you don’t have regular interactions with them or pat yourself on the back often you are as good as gone.
