Svantaggi
If you are looking to completely delude yourself and have the worst time possible then look no further because this is the place for you! If you are looking to be underpaid, overworked, and gaslight the whole time, then this is the place for you! If you are looking to be held to an impossible standard that not even the leads could reach themselves if they were in the same job, then this is the place for you! Lemonade likes to pride itself with being innovative by "shaking up the industry" but one must wonder how they can claim that when their company is falling apart from the inside and barely being held together by their over worked and underpaid workforce that’s in a constant state of turnover. Lemonade likes to maintain the narrative that each claim/policy is handled fairly and without any bias when in reality they have a whole system that targets "certain demographics" to "pay more attention to" and a lot of their staff can be considered disgruntled employees - take that as you will, I wouldn't recommend getting a policy here either. A lot of people come to Lemonade desperate to leave a bad job with the hopes that things will be much different. It only takes about 6 months for the reality of Lemonade to settle in and hit them. Pay transparency is a huge issue here and you are often told not to even to talk about it amongst your peers. They say you'll get a pay increase at 2 years, which is not industry standard, but that’s not even a guarantee and most leads are in the dark about pay increases, so you'll find no help there. Some hiring classes will start out at different wages even if they are just months apart, so I guess if you want to get paid a livable wage you just have to time it right. Someone with no experience could be getting paid more than you are starting off if they got hired on 1-2 months after you. This should obviously tell you that experience does not matter in a place like this. You'll get told you are being paid industry standard but a quick google search will show you that lemonade pays way less than their competitors. One would think that Underwriting would be one of the best places to find yourself in insurance, but Lemonade makes sure to kill that idea. This department, in Lemonade, is required to be in the office 3 days out of the week for no apparent reason other than to fill an office up with bodies. You can't even enjoy the company of your coworkers without receiving passive aggressive slack messages about it being "too loud" while also asking why no one enjoys being there. Everyone on this team seems burnt out and is looking forward to the day they no longer have to show up here but in the meantime the day is filled with unproductive meetings, which leaves you no time to meet metrics, where the older leads talk about their times at legacy carriers and their outdated practices basically reliving the glory years of their lives. So much more can be said about this place but I know people don't care to read long reviews, so I'll leave it at this. This may be a good place to work if you are looking for something temporary and just want to get experience in a field but do not expect rapid career movement or a livable wage.
