Vantaggi
- Produces one of the top rated shows and it never goes on hiatus, so you are working all year
- Opportunities to go on shoots
- Learn a lot since it a smaller company
- Co-workers are like family
- Paid federal holidays
- Easy 9-5 work week (almost unheard of when working in television)
Svantaggi
- Pay is very low for the amount of work you do
- Easily burnt out
- Work is very monotonous and boring at times
- A lot of micro-managing, management doesn't trust employees to make decisions
- No health benefits ( company keeps everyone as a contracted employee even though you work throughout the year in order to keep from paying benefits)
-No room for growth or career advancement
-Office politics (favored employees are allowed to take paid time off and better career opportunities)
- Departments are segregated (makes for awkward office parties), i.e. post only hangs out with post, producers only hang out with producers, etc.
-Lack of diversity (not many people of color working in the office - especially in the higher management positions)
-High turn over rate
- Weird cult like attitude (if you leave the company, the people you worked with act like you betrayed them and stop talking to you because you left)
