Svantaggi
For the love of God, if you see this, and you are interested in working here I highly suggest you think twice. There is so much wrong with this company that I do not even know where to begin. If you want to be a consultant, there’s no point in going to a no-name micro-consulting firm with a passive aggressive toxic culture.
* Senior management and above will go out of their way to backstab you and throw you under the bus if they do not like you. They conduct performance reviews quarterly as there is a high amount of turnover, and it assists them with firing people. Firing people=don’t have to pay bonuses.
*Management level is young, and has maybe 3-4 years of experience on average. They are just winging it and are master BS artists. I cant begin to tell you how many times ive done things which were incorrect.
*You will be set up to fail if they do not like you. They expect constant brown nosing.
* High turnover, alot quit or are fired behind the scenes. Its so bad in fact, they require a one month notice to resign in the contract they make you sign. Youll be required to provide a month notice for vacation, and you need multiple levels of management AND HUMAN RESOURCES TO TAKE VACATION. They have “unlimited PTO”, but their PTO policy is filled with so much red tape, it defeats the purpose of taking it. If you do decide to take a few days, your metrics will be ruined, and you will look poorly on your quarterly reviews. Unlimited PTO=company doesn’t have to pay accrued PTO when you quit.
* The politics here are toxic. Employees are vying to brown nose to upper management and will derail you. You wont even know someone's attempting to stab your back, because they do it all with a smile. * Youll have three managers, a direct manager which you may not even work with, a project manager for each client, and a “mentor”
Direct manager: You might not even work with your direct manager, yet you will have to report to him/her every week. This management session is designed to grill you weekly on what youre doing, and nothing more. You will be evaluated and passively criticized during these meetings.
Project manager: You will most likely never get any form of training from your PM. You will be thrown to the wolves right away, and if you fail, you will be punished severely in your quarterly review. You wont know until then, as they passively hold issues over your head for ammunition. If they do not like you, they will scrutinize your billable hours, and punish you if you’re over. You may or may not know how many hours to bill. It is critical for your career here to lie on your billable hours, or again, you WILL BE PUNISHED.
Mentor: This is a typical good cop, bad cop routine. The mentor is there to “listen”, but do not fall for it. Eric places this mentorship relationship on consultants so they let their guard down, so they can find out the tea. They will turn on you as well, and should not be trusted.
*Eric is extremely insufferable, and has a major ego/god complex. He is trying to turn his ant sized firm into something notable, and has created a very cut throat passive aggressive toxic culture.
*Spying on employees, they 100% spy. *They really do not provide much value to clients. They do tasks for clients that are often times not fully accurate, or things that they can do themselves. Associates/senior associates often spend immense hours on creating silly shiny slides to make clients feel like were accomplishing something.
*They tout technological innovation, however their own internal controls, and other security standards within the company are laughable. They will eventually get hacked. They are not secure with how they conduct things. THERE IS NO STRUCTURE HERE.
