I can't see much cons except that there is no systematic annual performance appraisal unless you request for it. If you are lucky enough to be hired at higher salary then it's good for initial years but could be financially burdening after sometime. I am not a very outspoken person and can't ask every year for increment however it may not be a con for others who are outspoken and can request/ demand easily. And be prepared for frequent project changes unless a well paying client loves and wants only you to work for them, as they always have a little more ratio towards projects than number of developers
