Pay is fair, there are some people who have your back and are trying their hardest to keep you going but even they were being threatened by the venue director. It did give me the experience to find a better job elsewhere, though, so if you're thick skinned you could probably hack it for a year for the experience then move on to bigger and better things.

None of the managers seem to have a clue. I worked in a venue where all the management was overhauled at the same time and instead of listening to their TLs who had been there a lot longer than they had, they preferred to watch events go downhill then pass the blame to their employees who were trying their best to keep from drowning. Management also like to pick and choose favourites while doing their bets to belittle everyone else. Crying employees can be found in corners during all events, yet managers can simply choose to leave if they're feeling a little under the weather. Everyone else needs to go back onto the floor and suck it up. The new director decided he hated all of the employees who had been there before him and, when the truthful emails about treatment of staff started rolling in, he cried wolf and claimed that people had just decided to dislike him. The whole place is run by children who cannot admit their mistakes, instead it is passed on to someone who is not in a position to defend themselves.
