Vantaggi
When I worked here it was fully remote, which meant I could dedicate more time to the job rather than commuting. I always felt like I was among friends at LexisNexis. I would have gladly kept working here for many years, but I moved out of the country. They were very flexible with employees moving around the United States and let us keep working, which is great. It's the modern day. Managers are also very relaxed and trust the employees to get their work done, which of course we always do. I really enjoyed being part of the team. The company culture is great. I felt safe there as a minority. We celebrate people's diversity with fun events. I truly think it would be hard to find another company with such a great culture.
Svantaggi
Upper management is very distant and cold. Some members of other teams were flaky and impossible to work with, yet somehow those unreliable people got promoted. The pay is also very low compared to other, similar jobs. It would be very easy for someone to find better pay elsewhere. Also, if you are a hard worker with a good work ethic, you will end up with more responsibility but no pay increase. They did get rid of bonuses as well, which was quite insulting. Overall: if you care only about money, look elsewhere. If you want a stress-free place to work then it's worth it. Honestly as a single person with no children, the paycheck was enough for me. But I have no idea how a parent would make it with today's economy.
