Leybold North America has a forward thinking president with modern ideas in an antiquated manufacturing industry. He operates with an "open door" policy and transparent communication and treats everyone as equals. With the right effort, there are many opportunities to pitch ideas without going through the political/hierarchical pipeline - nothing is handed to you. Employees are openly encouraged to try new technologies and methods, present new ideas and communicate with all departments and members of staff. The marketing department has moved mountains in the last 2 years and will continue to grow and evolve. It was exciting to be a part of new initiatives, build out corporate programs, have the opportunity to be creative with technical and sometimes dry topics and gain global recognition and access to high level executives. Current PA office is outdated and drab, but will be moving into a new building in 2020.

Unfortunately due to the longevity of some of the staff (30-40 years) there can be push back on these new ideas, which can then cause friction. Some people don't like change - but if you are a serious advocate and passionate about your cause this will be recognized and rewarded. However, thick skin is needed. Some departments are understaffed and while this certainly effects the company and it's customers as a whole, Marketing rarely feels the brunt. Negative customer feedback occurs regularly.

Lavorano per raggiungere una buona cultura aziendale. Cercano di essere come una famiglia, ma in genere non troppo personali. Fanno molte cose che dimostrano che il management inferiore si preoccupa dei propri dipendenti.

Svantaggi

Il problema è il management superiore. Con Leybold di proprietà di una grande corporazione, il management superiore sale molto in alto e vengono prese decisioni ai massimi livelli che non hanno senso per quelli sottostanti. Non consultano i dipendenti e vengono prese decisioni su larga scala che hanno un impatto negativo sui dipendenti (come il blocco delle assunzioni quando le posizioni devono essere coperte perché una o due altre sedi stanno attraversando un trimestre negativo).
