Svantaggi
Long shifts normally for my store no Break esp if your working early morning to early afternoon there is no chance of a break. if your entitled to 15mins you can kiss them good bye. When I started i was shoved on a till shown very little and was sorta left to get on with it during the busy Saturday afternoon. You tend (although the company say it don't happen) have to sit on a till for 6 to 8 hours straight. Your not allowed to talk to the customers unless its part of the script. the chairs they provide are like sitting on stone, foot rests are always broke. The management are always looking for someone else to blame. Pallets are normally stack stupidly high, with the heavy stuff on top, when the stores do compost outside they only allow 1 staff member to move this. I got crushed when on sick and they DIDNT pay me. There an electric pallet truck that mangers can use for this task but they never do in my store you have to haul the heavy pallet up the slope. You got an Idea keep it to your self they not welcome. No talking to other staff is allowed. Health and safety is NEVER followed my manger has told me after dropping fresh bakery products on the floor to just put them out on sale. My store has 3 on a close with a inpossable task list to complete we close a 9pm and are expected to be out and setting the alarm by 9.30 never happens because although there 3 of us 1 is tied up doing the tills and end of day paper work. We are also made to sign all sorts of rubbish ie, Agreeing to clock in bang on time not a minute early or late, Sign our job list to say we done it. A cleaning sheet for different areas and why so they can disapine you if they find dirt which is often as there no time to clean properly I was a Duty manager oh which while we at that is a made up role what it stands for is (MUG) i stepped down as i got fed up of being made a mug of. Rotas your told when u start that there will always be 3 weeks worth of rotas. Like hell there is its endlessly changing at short notice and with out warning, Many times I finished a 10pm and on public transport so got home 11 then expected to turn back up at 6am so where the rest between shifts. Your also expected to work to silly time scales which never are followed because there so tight. And my last point is there never Any music or interaction or motivation is either silent or the heating thats it and no social life you can kiss that good bye too
